The City of Kamloops has contracted BA Dawson Blacktop Ltd. to upgrade the sanitary sewer main on 4th Avenue between Lansdowne Street and Battle Street.

We are advising businesses, residents, and commuters that the phased work is scheduled to begin in July 2025, with completion in spring 2026. Construction is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm, with the possibility of some weekend work required.

The project will serve to increase sewer capacity for future building infrastructure and provide utility servicing for the new Kamloops Centre for the Arts facility.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

Traffic, parking, alley access, and transit will be temporarily impacted within the construction zone on a block-by-block phased basis, as crews move southbound from Lansdowne Street to Battle Street.

Expect heavy truck traffic and noise disruptions from construction equipment.
