Update for July 10

10 July 2024

Crews are currently prepping for boulevard restoration within the Tranquille Gateway construction corridor. This includes installation of irrigation, shaping of the drainage swales, and shaping of the areas adjacent the sidewalk and multi-use pathway. Once this is complete, crews will be planting trees, installing sod and hydro seeding.

Installation of the sidewalk on the north side of Tranquille Road and the multi-use pathway on the south side of Tranquille Road is nearly complete. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there has been a delay in the completion of this work. Project completion is now anticipated to be August.

Work on the new Fulton Field Park is progressing well. We look forward to opening Fulton Field Park to the public in late July once the landscaping has had time to establish itself.

Please slow down within the work zone.

Motorists are reminded that the Tranquille Gateway corridor from Crestline Street to south of the SPCA remains an active construction zone. The signed 30 km/hr zone is in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please obey all traffic control signage and watch for crews working on the road and in the boulevards. Expect single lane alternating traffic at times. This is in place to help ensure the safety of crews and to accommodate the work.

We appreciate the patience of residents, businesses, motorists and pedestrians as crews work to complete the Tranquille Gateway Improvements project.
