Update for October 18

18 October 2023

Week of October 16:

  • This week, crews are pouring concrete for curb and gutter on Tranquille Road between Crestline Street and Aviation Way.
  • Thursday, October 19, Crestline Street (north side) at Tranquille Road will be closed to all traffic from approximately 6:00 am to end of day to accommodate asphalt removal and conduit crossing work on Crestline Street at Tranquille Road. Motorists accessing Crestline Street will be required to detour via Schreiner Street. Transit will also detour via Schreiner Street (visit BCTransit.com/Kamloops and check advisories for the most up to date information). Crestline Street will reopen to all traffic by end of day.

Week of October 23:

  • Monday, October 23, crews will be milling (removing) asphalt on Tranquille Road between Crestline Street and Aviation Way.
  • The remainder of the week, crews will be doing road works (grading, raising manholes, clean up) in preparation for paving which is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 31 (weather permitting).

Traffic:

Traffic on Tranquille Road through the work zone is single lane alternating during the day, with traffic control signage and personnel in place. Traffic is restored to one lane in each direction at night.

30 km/hr Work Zone:

Motorists are reminded that the Tranquille Gateway construction zone from Crestline Street to north of Aviation Way is 30 km/hr, effective 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
