The week of March 13, Extreme Excavating will begin work on the Pemberton Water Booster and Reservoir Upgrades project in Greenstone Park. The start date was delayed due to weather conditions.

This week crews will be mobilizing equipment to site, re-routing the sanitary sewer main outside of the park, as well as starting reservoir excavation.

Due to the delayed project start, the drilling and blasting portion of the project has been rescheduled to start late March/early April. Property owners located within 100 metres of the blasting work who have requested notification of the blasting schedule will be contacted in advance.

A reminder to residents that throughout the construction period, vibratory compaction equipment will be in use; therefore, any fragile items should be packaged or protected from damage due to vibration. There will be significant noise and disruption during construction hours, which are anticipated to be 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm. The park will be closed for the entirety of the project. Project completion is anticipated to be November 2023.
