We are advising residents that Stage 1–Part 2 (Crestline Street to Downie Street) is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 18, with completion anticipated in late fall 2025.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

Starting August 18, Stage 1–Part 2 work will extend from Crestline Street to Downie Street and include the closure of Schreiner Street north of Tranquille Road until late fall. During this time, Tranquille Road will be open to local traffic only for driveway access, with limited access around the open excavation area. No thru traffic will be permitted. Please note that access will change frequently.

Starting August 23, Schreiner Street south will also have restricted access for about three weeks due to intersection excavation on Tranquille Road. Eastbound traffic will be narrowed and slowed, with no westbound or northbound access. Residents are advised to move large vehicles (ie. trailers, boats) before August 23. Completion of this portion is expected in early September, after which rough westbound access will reopen.

A reminder to motorists to travel on the temporary raised road surface (not in the centre where obstacles may be present).

Please plan accordingly, expect delays, follow all posted detour routes, and obey all signage and traffic control personnel.

RESIDENT IMPACTS

Residents can expect water shutdowns to facilitate work during this time period (some water interruptions may be frequent for select addresses). Loss of water may vary from a short period to a full day. Residents will be given notice ahead of time for planned water shutdowns.

Driveway parking will be limited during excavation. When possible, please park elsewhere and walk to your home, and plan household activities around this temporary access loss.
