Over 40 people gathered in the Kamloops Kia Lounge on Wednesday, October 18, for the inaugural Build Kamloops joint working group meeting. Councillors, City staff, and members of the public learned more about the Build Kamloops program, the purpose of the Select Committee and Working Groups, and shared their experience and reasons why they volunteered to be part of this groundbreaking initiative. The overwhelming sentiment in the room was "We love Kamloops. It's time. Let's Build Kamloops!". Working groups will begin meeting in November to implement direction from the Select Committee and provide recommendations back to them.
