Residents have many option for connecting with Community Services. Community Services’ role ranges from issuing parking permits and dog licences to ensuring a safe community by promoting compliance with the City's bylaws, regulations, and programs. These services are accomplished through public relations, education, awareness programs, and, when required, enforcement.

The City of Kamloops has several policies and bylaws in place to ensure our residents’ health and safety and protect the environment.

In our diverse and inclusive neighbourhoods, every resident plays a vital role in contributing to our outstanding quality of life. Our bylaws provide the tools for Community Services and help shape how our community lives. City Council adopts policies to guide City operations to promote transparency, accountability, and responsible government.
