City of Kamloops Invites Comments on Design Concepts for the North Shore

21 December 2020

December 22, 2020 - From November 17 to 21, the City hosted the North Shore Design Charrette, a multi-day event involving stakeholder workshops and public open houses intended to generate visionary ideas and design concepts for the Tranquille Market Corridor and North Shore Town Centre.

This event was undertaken as part of the North Shore Neighbourhood Plan review and update, which is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2021.

The design concepts offer a vision for three distinct districts—the North Shore Town Centre, Tranquille Market Corridor, and the Riverfront—and are now available; click the "Design Concept Images" tab to enter the forum.

Residents are encouraged to share their feedback using the interactive online discussion forum by January 31, 2021. In addition to the design sketches, a short video is available that describes the elements found within each concept.

The North Shore Design Charrette Summary Report is now available online. The report summarizes the charrette process, participant feedback, and emerging design concepts.
