Aligning with the City of Kamloops 2023-2026 Council Strategic Plan, the Development, Engineering, and Sustainability Department is undertaking a transformational project to streamline citizen services to manage and process electronic building and development permit applications.

The City will use existing tools, including MyCity–an online account service–to receive digital permit applications, enabling customers to submit requests at their convenience and make payments online.

By enabling online access, customers will be able to apply for permits, receive real-time status updates, and receive notifications as their permit progresses towards approval.

By shifting to an online service delivery model, customers will experience increased transparency through the permit journey, improved communications, and faster processing times.
