Purpose: The purpose of the Parks Engagement Group is to assist and support the Select Committee by, among other things:

• providing coordination and support for the Select Committee’s activities
• providing information and professional advice for the Select Committee’s consideration
• gathering public input for matters coming within the Select Committee’s mandate and reporting that information to the Select Committee
• assisting the Director, as needed, with bringing together informal groups to determine the city’s parks needs
• liaising with the Healthy Kamloops Engagement Group

Meeting Frequency: Quarterly

Reports to: Civic Operations Committee (formerly)
