Purpose: The Early Learning and Child Care Engagement Group supports the Committee by coordinating its activities, providing information and professional advice, and gathering public input on matters within the Committee’s mandate. The group helps advance the Community Child Care Planning Project Action Plan, offers input and recommendations on child care development and re‑zoning applications, and contributes to the development of policies and processes related to early learning and child care. It also promotes public awareness and advocacy for early learning and child care programming, and provides recommendations related to funding decisions, including letters of support, grant applications, and budget considerations.
