Phase Three: Ongoing

Acres Enterprises Ltd. has now begun work on phase three of the project involving clearing and preparation work on the Aberdeen Drive emergency egress route.

All three phases of the project are slated for completion in 2025.

Traffic Impacts

There will be an increase in heavy truck traffic in the area due to construction. Exercise caution in the construction zone and obey all traffic control signage.

Resident Impacts

Throughout the construction period, dust control measures will be in place.

Limited access to trails in the area will be maintained. For your safety, please obey posted signage.

During construction, heavy equipment and vibratory equipment will be in use; therefore, any fragile items should be packaged or protected from damage due to vibration. There will also be noise disruption due to equipment on site.

Phase One: Mid-July 2023 – Winter 2024 | COMPLETE

The City of Kamloops has contracted Acres Enterprises Ltd. to construct a multi-phase project that will include the extension of Copperhead Drive (phase one), encompassing construction of approximately 600m of arterial roadway from Avens Way towards Aberdeen Drive. The first phase of this project will also include utility extensions and servicing for the future Pineview Elementary School site.

The new corridor will be equipped with street lighting, a multi-use pathway, sidewalk, landscaping, and future bus stop facility.
