Each year, the City collects property taxes in order to deliver the service that our residents rely on. Your tax dollars provide clean water to your home (and take away the dirty water), build and repair roads, and fund police officers and firefighters. These dollars are also used to maintain our beautiful parks and provide recreation opportunities that keep us healthy and balanced.

To do this, we need to build a balanced budget (municipalities are not allowed to run a deficit!).

Come learn more about how we do this at an information session on Wednesday, November 19 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Kia Lounge in the Sandman Centre.

You will have an opportunity to learn about the City's budget and have one-on-one conversations with City Council and staff.

For historical budget documents, including the City's financial statements, visit the City's budget website.
