Residents were invited to help select a new provider to supply, install, and maintain a modern pay parking system in our community. As part of this process, two applicants will be shortlisted, residents can participated in two demonstration sessions to test and provide feedback about the parking machine options. These demonstration sessions were held on January 13 and 14, and the information will be considered as part of the selection process for a new pay parking provider.

Pay parking in Kamloops serves approximately 800 on-street single parking spaces downtown, pay-and-display machines in nine off-street parking lots, pay-by-space parking at the Tournament Capital Centre, and two City-owned parkades on Seymour Street and Lansdowne Street.

The new pay parking system is anticipated to be in place in the spring of 2026.
