The City of Kamloops is in the initial states of developing a Recreation Master Plan. This important planning document will help guide the delivery of recreation services in Kamloops and provide refreshed priorities for investments in facilities and programming. Do our recreation facilities meet the needs of our current population? Of all ages and abilities? As demographics shift over the next 10–20 years, how will our needs change?

As Canada's Tournament Capital, Kamloops draws thousands of participants, spectators, and officials to over 120 regional, national, and international tournaments and events each year to enjoy our world-class facilities. As the City of Kamloops looks to the future, it is important to consider the needs of our citizens from a perspective of infrastructure, sustainability, and accessibility to ensure that our goals of building a strong, kind, and healthy community are achieved.
