Project Update for June 19

The Canada Games Aquatic Centre (CGAC) is looking a little different these days as a result of the infrastructure improvement project. The unexpected closure of the Tournament Capital Centre (TCC) due to COVID-19 allowed the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) team to get a head start on site setup and selective demolition. One month later, demolition is well underway within the natatorium (pool building) and change rooms and construction has started on the new east entrance.

As the TCC slowly reopens to the public, residents are reminded that the pool, the wet change rooms, and the dry change rooms/washrooms near the reception area will remain closed for the duration of the project.

The IPD team would like to thank everyone at the TCC for their patience and kindness on site. If you have a question about this project or how it may affect you, please submit it at LetsTalk.Kamloops.ca/CGAC.
